Terms of Use

The following Terms of Use cover the Parent in the Know website and the Parent in the Know services. Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using http://www.parentintheknow.com. This Agreement sets forth the legally binding terms and conditions for your use of the Site at http://www.parentintheknow.com. By visiting the website and/or by placing an order for the assessments, parent coaching, or consulting you acknowledge you agree and consent to these Terms of Use.

Keeping the Assessments Secure

The assessments must remain secure. This is to maintain their integrity and value related to their reliability and validity. Therefore it is not allowable for you to copy or distribute the actual assessment items to anyone else. The majority of the assessments will be delivered to you electronically.

However, you must return all assessment forms if received by mail to Parent in the Know, whether you complete them or not. In this case, the assessments will be mailed to you with confirmation of delivery. If Parent in the Know cannot confirm delivery to ensure security, the assessments will be sent back to us. If this happens we will email and/or call you to determine why there was a problem with delivery and upon resolution will re-mail the assessments to you. If you do not return within 90 days you will be responsible for paying a $50 late fee for every additional 30 days past the 90 day window.

Respecting Copyright of Materials Provided

The assessments and the parent coaching materials are copyrighted. This means it is not allowable for you to copy and distribute them. Nor may you alter them. You may not sell any assessments or coaching materials you receive when using the Parent in the Know services.

For business consulting services, copyright of deliverables passes to the client. Authorship will be determined with the client on a case-by-case basis.

Receiving a Client Report

In cases where an assessment is completed online, you will receive the report immediately. You agree that Parent in the Know has no responsibility for any issues related to your use of the internet.

For those assessments completed by mail, you must provide a valid email address. We recommend the email address be one that is not shared and is a personal email. You agree that Parent in the Know has no responsibility if your email is incorrect, not valid, or accessed by someone other than yourself.

Payment for Services

Payment is due prior to receiving an assessment or parent coaching. Payment for business consulting is due within 30 days after a deliverable is approved by a client.
